We know there’s a lot to remember in the info you’ve been sent so far, so here’s a quick re-cap of what you’ll need to do to earn rewards once your Blinq Box is setup and running.

What you’ll need
All you’ll need to get started is;
- A TV with an available HDMI port
- An available power outlet to plug in your Blinq Box
- Your wifi password to connect the Blinq Box to the internet
- Enough light in the room for our webcam to work properly

- 1 x power supply for your Blinq Box
- 1 x remote control for your Blinq Box, including batteries
- 1 x HDMI cable to connect your Blinq Box with your TV
- 1 x webcam

Follow the steps in this super quick setup guide and you’ll start earning awesome rewards almost instantly.
The whole process takes about 10 minutes, and we’ll guide you through the whole journey.
1. Plugin Blinq Box
- Connect the Blinq Box to power using the provided power supply cable.
- Connect the Box to your TV using the provided HDMI cord to any free HDMI input on your TV.
- Turn on the power to your Blinq Box from your power outlet.
2. Plugin Webcam
Connect the Webcam to the Blinq Box using the USB cable provided.
3. Position Webcam
- Place the Webcam on top of your TV, as close to the centre of the screen as possible.
- Ensure the arms of the Webcam are firmly placed on both sides of your TV to stop it falling off.
Please make sure the Webcam is not placed in a location other than the top of your TV as the results won’t be usable, so you may not be able to claim a reward.
4. TV Remote: Change Input Source to HDMI
Using your own TV remote, turn on your TV and change the input source to the HDMI input you used for the Blinq Box. i.e HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, etc.
5. Blinq Box Remote: Setup your Blinq Box
If you have followed the steps correctly, you will see our Blinq homepage. Using your Blinq Box remote click “LET’S GO” to get started.
6. Connect to WiFi
- Using your Blinq Box remote, select “CONNECT TO WIFI”
- Find and select your network connection.
- Some routers have two bands to choose from, 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Ensure you are connecting to the 2.4GHz to avoid any connection issues.
- Enter your WiFi password and hit Enter.
7. Download app update
Once you have connected to your WiFi, the Blinq app will automatically update to the latest version. This should only take a few moments and will ensure you are using the most up to date version to make earning rewards so much easier.
8. Check Camera Position
Check that your camera is plugged into the Blinq Box and positioned correctly. Then hit “LET’S GO”
9. Adjust Camera
- You will be shown a live feed of the Webcam on your TV screen to make sure it is working correctly and that you are captured in the vision.
- Please ensure that your face appears above the line shown on screen by tilting the Webcam up or down.
- When ready, press OK on the Blinq Box remote to complete your setup.
Blinq only captures facial markers that are converted by our super smart computers through a specific coded language. In other words, nothing personal or identifiable is recorded!
10. You’re all set!
Now you’re all setup and ready to start earning rewards! In fact, you have just earned your first reward just by setting up your device correctly. Great job!

You can now grab your TV remote and switch over to your favourite channel to start earning more rewards.
Please make sure you keep your Blinq Box turned on and powered up to stay on track with your rewards schedule. It is quiet and doesn’t require much power, so you’ll forget it’s even on!
Remember, to qualify for rewards there must always be someone in the room during the course of a viewing session. Just watch TV as you normally would and carry out any tasks or activities that are normal to you when you’re watching your favourite content.
At the end of the day, just turn your TV off and your Blinq Box will be ready for you the next day.

Your Blinq Box is setup and ready to help you earn rewards. You won’t ever need to repeat any of these setup steps before watching TV, unless you receive a message from us or an error is displayed when you switch back to the HDMI input.
Some frequently asked questions
How will I know if the Blinq Box is working?
Once the setup is complete, you shouldn't ever have to worry about the Blinq Box again. As long as it has power it will be running properly but you can always feel free to switch back to the HDMI channel you’ve selected to see if it’s happy. If you’ve been logged out or there’s been an error, it will be displayed on your TV screen when you’re on that HDMI input.
Do I have to watch content from the Blinq Box?
The Blinq Box is just used to capture data, and isn’t able to be used for any other purpose. So once it is setup all you have to do is switch over to your normal TV channels and watch TV as you normally would. It won’t get in the way and will run quietly in the background.
How do I earn rewards?
It couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is make sure your Blinq Box is switched and running properly, then watch your favourite TV channels and shows for at least 30 minutes once a week. You’ll need to make sure someone is in the room and visible to the webcam during that time, and the Blinq Box will do the rest to make sure your time is recorded and goes towards your rewards total.
When do I receive my rewards?
Your first reward for setting up your Blinq Box will be sent to you within 1 business day of completing your setup. Then your rewards for participating in the study are sent via email at the end of each month and can be redeemed for gift cards, paypal or prepaid visa/mastercard cards using Tremendous. Check out their website to find out how you can use your rewards.
What if I haven’t received my rewards?
Rewards are sent to the email address you signed up with, so please check both your inbox and junk / spam folders at the end of each month.
